This is a Good News/Bad News Story!
The good news is that our Cleveland Browns have an opportunity to set a major, never-been-done before NFL record!
The bad news?
The odds are not in our favor…
I don’t want to discourage anyone from turning out and cheering for our Browns. God knows I sure will, just like I did for every game during our 0-16 season! But, no team in NFL history has ever made the playoffs after starting out 1-5. None. Three teams have made it with a 1-4 start, but we blew that last week.
The thing is, it’s all part of the plan! Stefanski is playing the long game and this week Chubb is going to lead us to our second win and ignite the spark that will carry us into the history books!
We just need to cheer even LOUDER this week, and loud crying doesn’t count! You guys know who you are...
Do it for your country!!!
Here we go:
Week 6 Recap.
Week 7 - The Iggles
Ravens @ Browns Party!
Go Browns!
Game 6: Cleveland vs Philadelphia
Summary: We still suck.
Our defense, however, made the highlight reel this week with a kick-6 © (yes, I’ve copywritten this term)!
Our beloved and heroic Myles Garrett blocked a 57-yard field goal kick by Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott, which was then snagged up by Browns’ Rodney McLeod and returned 50-yards for a game-tying touchdown before the halftime whistle.
Sadly, our offense couldn’t put a single drive together to help the defense out. I’m sensing a pattern…
Attendance: We had about 15 die-hard fans at the club, including my buddy who was in town for the weekend from the motherland (Ohio, not Russia). Thank you guys for turning out!
Charity: Held steady this week as our crowd trickled in and we couldn’t put the raffle together before it was mostly over. Help us raise more money and strike it rich with our 50/50 this week against Cinci!
Game 6: Cincinnati at Cleveland
Finally another home game and the return of the most beautiful running back alive, Nick Chubb!!!
I predict a blowout, led by Chubb, with our defense shutting down Joe Burrow and those Tony the Tiger looking Cinci clowns!
You heard it hear first. Now come join us at Glory Days to see it happen!
This is where our turnaround begins!!! FOR REAL THIS TIME!
Ravens vs Browns Party at Romilo’s for Game 7!
As noted last week, we’ll be hosting a joint party with our Raven’s Roost friends (yah, they totally copied us because we’re the coolest) at Romilo’s in Severna Park!
There will be free pizza and maybe some beer tickets for the first chunk of people who show up. I’ll be there around 1200 to make sure the beer is cold - it’s a hard job, but someone has to do it! I could use a backup, if anyone cares to put in the work with me.
We’ll also be hosting our odd-time games at Romilo’s through the season (the games that aren’t at 1PM or 4PM on Sundays). I’ll send out a full schedule next week.
This should be a fun time! And if nothing else, we’ll have more Steeler’s haters to cheers our beers with.
See yah there!
